Joseph Doerr

Joseph Doerr has over 20 years of experience in the crane and rigging industry, beginning his career as an apprentice in 2002 and earning NCCCO certification as an operator. His industry journey has included key positions at W.O. Grubb and NBIS, where he helped launch RMSS, develop online training, and served as Assistant Manager of the Crane Program. He also led the Specialized Transportation Program—NBIS’s second-largest program—bringing focused insight into the operational and risk complexities of that sector. Prior to joining Emery & Karrigan in 2021, he also served as Niche Underwriting Manager at ProSight Specialty Insurance. Joseph now supports clients with risk management strategies tailored to the realities of crane and transport operations. His field experience, combined with his underwriting and program leadership background, gives him a unique ability to help clients understand and mitigate exposure. Joseph’s practical insight and commitment to service make him an integral part of the firm’s value proposition.
